Dani Shay
Tree-Huggin', City-Lovin', wise-n-young singer-songwriter: Dani Shay loves to play with contrast in her life, and in her music; she uses softness and strength - pop melodies with punchy breakdowns - to deliver clever messages in heartfelt a way. Her deliberate use of vulnerability and wit, can be heard in recent songs like: "One", "Know You", and "Girl Or Boy".
In 2011, Dani took a stand for "Bieber look-a-likes" everywhere, and had America laughing when she sang her parody, "What The Hell" on America's Got Talent (Season 6). Soon after, she appeared on Oxygen's hit, The Glee Project 2, where she won the respect of Emmy-Award winning writer & director, Ryan Murphy. Her latest music video, "One", which was released this past December, premiered with the Grammy-Award winning band, FUN, and their LGBTQ organization, The Ally Coalition. (See here.)
In addition to making music, Dani enjoys acting, speaking, helping people, and learning about life.
She is currently touring with the Be More Heroic campaign (a pro-love approach to the anti-bullying movement), which she helped to start with some of her friends back in early 2011. (To read more about Be More Heroic, please visit www.bemoreheroic.com.) Additionally, Dani just launched her first-ever Kickstarter Campaign, to raise money for her upcoming album, DVD, and activity book! See her project here.
